Let’s meet up in real life to share in the beauty of recovery.
Meetings/Events at San Marco Club
The Central Group of Alcoholics Anonymous and the Al-Anon Family Group #2653 both hold meetings at San Marco club. See color coded calendar below for meeting times and types. San Marco club events will also be listed on this calendar and noted on the events tab.
Central Group
The Central Group of Alcoholics Anonymous has been meeting here at the club since our incorporation in 1953. One of the oldest groups in Florida, Central Group and The San Marco Club have enjoyed a rich history in cooperation and harmony.
According to the Third Tradition of Alcoholics Anonymous, the only requirement for AA membership is a desire to stop drinking.
Al-Anon Family Group #2653
Al-Anon is a mutual support group of peers who share their experience in applying the Al-Anon principles to problems related to the effects of a problem drinker in their lives, it is not group therapy and is not led by a counselor or therapist. In Al-Anon, members do not give direction or advice to other members. Instead, they share their personal experiences and stories, and invite other members to “take what they like and leave the rest”—that is, to determine for themselves what lesson they could apply to their own lives.
The best place to learn how Al-Anon works is at an Al-Anon meeting in your local community. Personal contact is an important element in the healing process.
